50 YEAR CALENDAR
50 year calendar. With this small calendar you can find out, for example, the day of the week on which you were born or on which a relative or friend was born, the day of a historical event from the past or even find out the day on which your next birthday will fall… you can do all this with this small, perfectly crafted and very easy-to-use instrument.
THE JULIAN CALENDAR
In 46 BC, and at the suggestion of Julius Caesar, the Alexandrian scholar Sosigenes modified the existing calendar, establishing the year at 365 days, with an additional day every four years. He established months of 30 and 31 days, except for February, which had 28 or 29, depending on whether or not it was a leap year, and moved the beginning of the year from March 1 to January 1.
THE GREGORIAN CALENDAR
In 1582, Pope Gregory XIII carried out a reform on the Julian calendar. Over the centuries, the spring equinox had become out of sync with the date established by the Council of Nicaea.
In order for the solar calendar to coincide with the seasons, it was established that the final years of each century that were not divisible by 400 would not be leap years.
It is presented in a beautiful case to make the perfect gift.
We can also use it as a pendant. If you would like, do not forget to tell us in the “observations” section when you place your order.
