The teletone is a toy telephone that shows us how the sound wave is transmitted through a wire. When we speak, our voice travels along the string, vibrating a membrane found in the receiving device, which becomes the transmitter when we respond to the message.
Our toy has a rope no less than four meters long, so when you put it taut and speak even very softly, the sender’s voice can be perfectly perceived on the other side.
This toy became very popular in the middle of the last century, ours being a reproduction of one purchased in an antique store, which was precisely called Teleletone.
