SCENES MUSICAL PRAXINOSCOPE
Scenes Musical Praxinoscope. A praxinoscope is a device similar to the zoetrope invented by Émile Reynaud in 1877 and patented on December 21 of that year. The viewer looks over the drum, inside which there is an inner wheel with mirrors at an angle, which reflect images drawn on strips of paper located around it. As a result, the person observes a clear sequence, a stable animation where the images merge and achieve the animated effect. To make the praxinoscopes that he would later sell as toys, Reynaud rented two apartments in Paris, one of which functioned as a workshop. The inventor received an honorable mention at the 1878 Paris World’s Fair.
OUR PRAXINOSCOPES
In its artisanal manufacture we only use components similar to those used then (cardboard, wood, metal), rejecting plastic in its composition, with the only exception of the mirrors, which for child safety reasons cannot be made of glass, the rest of the product It faithfully corresponds to the praxinoscopes of the time.
We have added optional music to all of our praxinoscopes with the exception of the lamps.
The music is loaded with the key on the upper part above the set of mirrors and is independent of the rotation, that is, it is not necessary for the praxinoscope to be rotating to hear it and vice versa, the device can rotate without the need for us to listen to the music. music.
We have four different melodies:

-The Carousel Waltz (by Richard Rogers). It is the famous melody that is usually heard on the carousels at all the fairs.

PRESENTATION
All praxinoscopes are presented in a cardboard box illustrated with drawings from the time and include a short historical overview of the praxinoscope. Perfect presentation to make a perfect gift and they are accompanied by 45 animated strips, many of them belonging to Emyle Reynaud’s first praxinoscopes.
It is a highly recommended gift for all ages and especially for movie lovers.
