SUNDIAL WRISTWATCH
This original sundial wristwatch is designed specifically to be worn like a wristwatch. It also has a compass so that it can be oriented along the North-South meridian, so that once oriented, you can obtain the true local time.
THE COMPASS
The compass is an instrument that facilitates orientation: it allows you to determine horizontal directions or courses, that is, with its help you can take the desired direction and head north, east, northwest…
This instrument was invented by the Chinese in the 1st century, and later it was the Arabs who introduced it to Europe in the 12th century. The compass was invented to guide sailors who crossed large seas, when there were no radars or other instruments that allowed them to know if they were on the right track.
THE SUNDIAL
In prehistoric times, human beings perceived time through the observation of regular natural phenomena, such as sunrise and sunset. This marked their lives and customs, the cycles of the moon, the changes in the position of the stars in the sky, the seasons of the year, the cold of winter and the prosperity of spring and summer, the rise and fall of river waters and, above all, birth, the changes they experienced, the lack of faculties, old age and the death of all living beings, all of which indicated the passage of time.
It is made of brass and is presented in a nice wooden case to make the perfect gift.
It comes with a small booklet with instructions for use.
