TELEIDOSCOPE
The teleidoscope is a type of kaleidoscope and differs from traditional ones in that instead of carrying several small colored pieces, the image is obtained from the perceived and deformed reality through a translucent glass sphere and reflected in the prism of mirrors that make up the main body of the kaleidoscope, obtaining as a result an infinity of images as we vary the focus of our vision.
A kaleidoscope (from the Greek kalós “beautiful”, eîdos “image” and skopéō “to observe”) or kaleidoscope1 is a tube containing three mirrors, which form a triangular prism with its reflective part towards the inside, at the end of which there are two translucent sheets between which there are several objects of different colors and shapes, whose images are multiplied symmetrically by turning the tube while looking through the opposite end.
It is one of the most famous toys in the world and one of the most appreciated for its optical effect.
The teleidoscope is accompanied by a wooden stand for display, presented in a tube-case and has a small booklet with the history of the kaleidoscope.
A traditional object that will never go out of fashion.
