SUNDIALS
In prehistoric times, human beings had the perception of time from the observation of regular natural phenomena, such as sunrise and sunset, which marked their life and their customs, the cycles of the moon, the changes in the position of the stars in the sky, the seasons of the year, the cold of winter and the bonanza of spring and summer, the growth and decrease of the waters of rivers and above all, by birth, by the changes that were experienced, by reaching a lack of faculties, old age and death of all living beings, all of this indicated the passage of time.
The oldest known sundials belong to the Egyptians, in the 15th century BC, approximately. They were obelisks. They used the height of the sun to know the time. They created the obelisks near temples and palaces.
It is presented in a beautiful wooden case, which also has a brass plate engraved with the equation of time, which helps even more to obtain a more precise result.
